Chobe National Park is all about the river and since Riki’s leg was not fit to start cycling again after the spider bite, Hendrik came up with the idea to paddle up the Chobe River from Kasane to Ngoma. What we experienced along the way was absolutely breathtaking.
We had to be at Customs in Kasane by 11h00. The customs office is situated right next to the Chobe River. Rafael, from Ichobezi River Lodge, met us here and loaded our luggage, including the two bicycles, in a little boat.

It is almost two weeks since we arrived here in Katima Mulilo. Riki's getting over a spider bite on her leg, while Hendrik goes on daily walks alongside the Zambezi River.
We spent our rest day at the Poppa Rapids Rest Camp close to Divundu and then left early the next morning to cycle through Bwabwata National Park.
